One more doctor's appt. today - it went okay. Today was just a blood draw at the hemotologist's office. The nurse had a difficult time finding a vein and needless to say at the third poking, I fainted! That was fun...I can't even tell you....it gets better though. The male nurse of the office carried me to the back with the oncology patients and put me on an IV. Are you serious? Then both the first nurse and the male nurse poked four more times until filling up all the viles of blood that they needed. I walked out of the office with 7 bandaids all over my arms and two apple juice bottles- it was a little much! Will find out the results next Wednesday....but things are looking good as they ran one test while I was there and all my cell counts are rising, which is great!
Brent is headed home tonight for a quick stop on his way up to Oklahoma City from Houston. The girls and I are excited to see him mid-week - we made an apple pie for dessert and are so excited to eat it!
Another funny story: Kaitlyn told me today that I was a Tomboy (where did she learn that?) and that although she likes sports, being outside, and all that sort of stuff....she also reminded me that she needs to learn how to do princess things as well. She asked when Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Ryan could come and visit....Aunt Chelsea because she knows how to do hair and not make it hurt and Uncle Ryan because he knows all the Queens and Princesses on Earth because he lives in NYC. Just thought I would share some of our random conversations throughout the day!
