Dribble It Just a Little Bit...

Here is a quick video from tonight's basketball game - although the game was cancelled they had a little scrimage anyway. Kaitlyn was great - and Addy could have totally taken some of the players on Kate's team with her speed and dribbling skills! So much fun to watch - we are just lovin' this age!

Oh TREATS in SNAIL MAIL- our favorite!!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Aunt Chelsea! We were so excited to see your package on our front door this morning right when we woke up! Here are some photos of a few of the items that the girls HAD to throw on right away. You are the best for being so thoughtful to all of us! You have to tell me how some of those hair things work though :) Miss you tons and wish we were able to see each other this July in Old Froggie! Have a great day at work (if you ever get bored with that you know you are always welcome to come to OK)- we are headed to a spray park with some friends and then Kaitlyn has a basketball game tonight so it should be interesting.

Side Note - Brent, the girls and I went to a minor league baseball game last night: The RedHawks. It was so much fun - Kaitlyn caught one of the T-shirts they throw out during the inninngs. We sat on the third base line which was great until left handed batters came up and I got nervous about foul balls. We ate dinner at the ball park, which was new for me as the restaurant overlooked the game - it was actually really cool! Fun times!

Ode to BRENT!

Roses are red, Violets are blue, We love Brent Martin through and through! Hope everyone had a fantastic Father's Day - we certainly were no exception. We went to an arena football game the night before (which was surpringly so much fun), saw Brent's office, then because it was such a nice night we decided to get some late night snacks at an outdoor restaurant downtown that was playing live music. We stayed out with the girls until about 11pm...isn't that crazy? But it was just such a wonderful night for everyone! Then on Father's Day we made Brent breakfast and unloaded on him all his homemade treats. Next, we went to the pool and had a little picnic there and then we took Brent for his massage (another Father's Day treat!). It was a really nice day!

What else can I tell you all? The girls are both doing sports this summer. Kaitlyn is doing basketball which is on the weekends and then baseball which is during the week. Addison is doing blastball (Brent is coaching), which is like baseball with a spongy ball and you only run to one base. They both have practices and games each week, which as you could guess keeps us pretty busy- but a wonderful busy! The big LibertyFest celebration starts this weekend and the girls are entered in the kite flying contest on Sat. which should be fun - they do a night fly with lights on the kites and to a live band. We are also hitting up a rodeo as part of the festivities so that should be fun! I love watching the bull riding - it is so exciting! Kaitlyn is old enough to enter the calf round-up that the kids do, but we shall see. I certainly will post the photos and give you some tidbits on what all happened.

LOVE YOU, MISS YOU, KISS YOU!!!!

Summer Camp...here we are!

So here is a picture from yesterday - the girls' first day of summer camp. They had so much fun! It was safety day so they learned all about what a community or family does to stay safe. It was pretty clever actually as the place had bouncy houses in the shape of all the rescue vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, etc...) to help the kids learn about who can help within the community. I thought that was brillant, but maybe I am just living behind in the times! :)

Baby News...

Okay all, so we met with the new Dr. today - the fetal specialist who will deliver us. He was great - again as I said earlier a little kooky, but I really liked him! He listened to me and answered every one of my million questions. What can I tell you: Due Date has finally stabilized so Dec. 19, 2009 it is! We got to see the baby and again I did not get to hear the heartbeat (sad), but I did see the flickers so that all looked good. No travel still as he does not want to ruin a good thing, but will reevaluate July 6th when we go again. Shots are working out great - I asked about delivery and that will be tricky as I can not have the medicine in me when I go into labor. So if I am induced no problem we will just stop the shots 48 hours prior to the induction, but if I go naturally we will have to stop the labor for at least 12 hours until the shot runs out of my system....mmmm.....wondering how all that is going to work, but he has done it a ton of times before and some things are really in God's hands so I can't worry about it. They did some blood tests today as I told him how seriously tired I have been so we shall see in one week the results from that - in the interim he told me to eat more meat! (Denise where is your steak when I need it) After the appt. the girls and I went to the mall and I bought my first pregnancy item....a tank top that reads "Baby Bump" - it was a great feeling that for the first time throughout this whole process I was able to finally be a little excited about the pregnancy! (I will post a picture soon with my new shirt!) Enough info for now...gotta get the girls down they both have summer camp tomorrow....YEAH!!!!

Is silence really golden?

So as most of you know the girls and Brent are headed down to Texas this weekend for the Daddy Daughter Dance at our old church. The girls were so excited - and I just wish I could be a fly on the wall to see them at the big event! Of course, they are in adorable matching poofy dresses...I mean come on people how could I resist:) I have to admit though, it feels so strange to be here in the house without all of them. Seriously, I can not remember the last time either Brent or I was left alone in our own house for an extended period. (those of you with kids can relate!) I rented some movies from Blockbuster (chick flicks w/a few How I Met Your Mother Reruns)...went to the grocery store, hit up the library for a new book, and now I am thinking about going for a little walk (my usual take 15 steps and then realize I am exhausted and need to head home...Ryan this is the one you always make fun of:). You know my heart goes both ways on this...at first when the Dr. said no travel I was thinking "Yes, a whole weekend to myself...NICE" However, now I am just wishing I could be there with my family! I miss them already! (and of course I want to visit all of you in Texas too....wish we could still get together on a random afternoon or Wed. night at Central Market!) Alrighty, I am off to get some R&R!!! LOVE YOU, MISS YOU, KISS YOU....

Just a Small Town Girl...

So I seriously love living in a small town! This weekend most of the companies in this area came together to throw a sports challenge. Each company puts together teams to compete in the different events (relays, volleyball, basketball, all track and field events, obstacle courses, etc.) - while at the same time setting up tents where volunteers and fans can barbecue and a kids area with jumpy houses and other fun stuff. Brent is participating in the shuttle relay (which some pictures are included above) and then the 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Next year Kaitlyn can compete with Brent, which is so cute! The others pictures included are from our quick stint to the Zoo today. We stayed for maybe an hour or two as Mom got tired, but it was fun while we were there!

P.S. How great is it when kids eat ice-cream they eat it heart and soul no matter what happens? I love the photos of Addy eating her ice-cream!!!

Oh my!!!!

So we are getting ready to go to a barbecue at a local park with Brent's work and of course we dressed the girls to match, which got me thinking: If this lil' angel is another girl (which folks we are not planning on finding out) I will need to buy three sets of the same clothes...Oh my....you know how much I love to match! How cute would they all be though...awe it warms my heart just thinking about it!!!! That being said I could just as easily find some matchy matchy boys clothes too....oh we are so excited can you tell!!!!! Hurry Christmas, Hurry Fast!!!

We're Moving On Up!!!

The girls had their first day in their new big girl gymnastics classes. It was crazy how it hit me today that truly my little babies are growing up. I just could not believe how well they both did all by themselves. Addison got the star student award today as she listened and shared the best out of her class. She was having so much fun and every once in a while she would wave to me, which I loved (now who wouldn't!). It was awesome to see her thriving. Kaitlyn (well of course I knew she would be fine in a class all by herself) did fabulous and I could not even comprehend the stuff that she was learning to do. Handstands and then trying to pick up one hand at a time, balance beam work, backward flips, forward flips on the trampoline...I mean I told her after her class that there was no way Mommy could do any of that stuff! I will try to get a video of them next time, if I can!
