The girls made pancakes Friday morning for Daddy. Oh yes, I am starting them early with their cooking lessons so hopefully by 5 and 7 they will be making both Daddy and I breakfast on Saturdays!!!
Just went back and read some of the first blog posts on here and it is truly amazing to see how God's hand is involved with everything. Sometimes I want things to happen on my terms with me in the drivers seat - after rereading a few passages I realize God's timing and plan is pretty amazing and I just need to have more trust in Him. I mean look at this family - we would be nothing without His grace, love and mercy.
Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
words to remember
"IT IS NOT OUR WILL, IT IS HIS WILL"
James 1:2-4
Consider it all joy when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Romans 5:3-5
Rejoice in your sufferings, because know that suffering produces perserverance; perserverance produces character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
God's Will
God does not always call us to go smoothly into our beautiful world. It is important to remember we are fulfilling His will, not ours. We may have a great idea about our future, but we must stick to God's plan. Thus, this family's current ambition is to be the best at what God wants us to be - nothing more and nothing less!
bring on the rain
And I know there will be days when this life brings me pain, But if that is what it takes to praise You Jesus, bring the rain!
