Yes, we are still alive!

Oh my goodness....I can't believe our last post was the beginning of May. Yikes, goes to show you what some warm weather, a pool being open and 3 crazy kids can do to you! :)

We are wonderful and just loving the summer down time. We have had some really fun things happen recently: Thanks to the Brewers for trekking all the way out here to Oklahoma to visit us! You guys are amazing and we are so thankful to have spent some time with you all....so wish we still lived right next door! Good Luck on the move to HotLanta!

Let me give you a low down with each little munchkin:

Addison: is doing gymnastics and has just passed the test to enter the big gym with the older kids so she is moving up yet again to another class (actually moving into Kate's old class). She is by far the youngest kid but it does not seem to bother her - she has no fear and I love to watch her bounce around! She is also doing swim lessons and is really getting it this time....I am thinking by the end of the summer she will have it down pat. The Lord knows that girl has so much determination when she sets her mind and heart to something. Oh and get this....she is reading! She loves to read and will read every night for a while after the bedtime routine...bless her heart! Maybe we should have went the Kindergarten route this next year? Oh well....I think she will love being super smart next year!

Kaitlyn: is also doing gymnastics this summer. She was asked to train/tryout for this gymnastics team at the end of the summer. She goes 4 hours a week and does some really hard stuff man....part of her class is circuit training geared to their age-she has her daddy's ability to run forever thank goodness. It is really exciting to watch her these days flip and bounce all over-although you realize how old she is getting and you are getting when you no longer can even attempt to do the things she is learning to do. She is reading at the library 1 day a week as a volunteer, which seems to be building her reading confidence. Yes, swim lessons are a constant for her too and hopefully by the end of the summer we will have mastered the front crawl. I think her favorite part though is just jumping in the pool!

Jacoby: Oh my....our little man is thriving! Still a picky eater with good reason, but he is doing leaps and bounds better than where we were just 6 months ago. He is into everything and because of his older sisters is mastering it at lightening speeds. He can open doors, climb up an down on everything, take off his clothes, put on his shoes, feed himself and the list goes on. Most of the stuff we adore watching him do although some stuff I wish he would go just a little bit slower on so we can revel in each moment. He loves the pool with his sisters and has already figured out how to jump in and walk around - his favorite is trying to jump while in the water. He seems to have Addy's fearless personality! Yes-we are doing a little gymnastics too - I figured why not I am there so much already might as well do something fun with little man while we are waiting. Again did I mention he is fearless like Addy? I am busy busy busy during the class!

Brent and I are great - life is moving along probably faster than we would like right now. We have each kept ourselves busy with little goals - Brent ran a 1/2 marathon recently here in the OKC and I have been really enjoying those mudruns and have done a couple more. We have also got into biking with the girls (yes with an ultimate goal cause you know deep down we are fatties - we bike to a bagel shop on Sunday mornings b/4 church).

All in all though we are very blessed and life is so good! We hope you all feel the same way! Sorry about not keeping up with the blog - most of you know I got a new phone for Mother's Day and have been using that rather than blogging.....I LOVE IT...probably best gift in years and years and years! Anywho Happy Thursday!
