Awe....
Addy's first day of school! Too cute! She has a couple friends in her class from our church and from our neighborhood so that made the transition nice and easy. She is also so excited because I am letting her carpool this year with some of those Moms. She just loves it!
This is the sky I was talking about...FREAKY!!!! Double Click on it to make it bigger....the picture and the sky get even better!
Well everyone has started school - okay not Jacoby - but Addy and Kate are well underway with school. Oh, I adore, adore, adore Addy's teacher and think it will simply be a fabulous year for her. On the first day I expected Addy to be a little nervous and need a couple extra hugs - NOPE - she gave me a big kiss and said that she will see me at pick up time. I asked one more time if she was sure she did not need me to hang out with her for a little bit and play with some of the toys - she proceeded to ask me "You are picking me up right?" I said, "Yes." Then she said, "Mom, I am fine I love school you can go now." Gosh poor Jacoby....I was a little teary eyed with him the rest of the morning!
What else can I fill you in on? Oh some of the pictures I enclosed are from one of our latest nights of storms. The sky was so weird I had to take a picture and show you all...seriously that red/yellow sky was natural. We all went outside and just looked around for a while as it seemed the world had a tinted film on it for about 2 hours in our neck of the woods! Then the storm hit and Kate and I tried to get a cool picture of the lightening but failed....next time...I am sure we will have plenty of opportunities! Honestly though I can't blame the kids for getting a little freaked out when storms hit and the sky looks like this!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Uncle Ryan for the cool jackets for the girls birthdays...we were needing some new play jackets and these are too cute. The girls want the weather to change so they can wear them! Addy likes to roll the sleeves to be able to see the blue color underneath....a fashionista already!!!
Oh...BIG NEWS! We finally after 9 months have moved Jacoby to his new room. It was so exciting as everyone helped move the crib up and put the new little decorations around. Kaitlyn loved helping put the bedding on the crib - she just could not wait for Jacoby to see everything! We went with a Zoo theme - it is cute and he loves it. Brent and I were constantly listening last night for any noises, peeps or the slightest irregular rhythm just cause we were not used to having him away from us. But he woke up happy and the girls are so thrilled that ALL the kids are together upstairs now.....
Have a great Labor Day weekend - looking forward to some good grilling and wish you the same!
