Ramblin' Rockwoods....

Here we sit in the car after roughly 12 hours of driving through the fun states of Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois and now Indiana. I think we have hit on average 2 gas stations every hour, much to Brent's chagrin! Normally I would say road trips are nothing and we get through them easy as pie; however this particular trip seemed quite exhausting! We hit rain, snow, sleet, hail and anything else that could come our way. I clearly remember now why we moved to a warmer climate! (Seriously, it was 80 degrees yesterday in Texas!)

There are also some nuances that I remember from my childhood that have resurfaced on this trip. One of those funny moments was the constant asking of "Are we there yet?" Now, having to experience the question on the other end is humorous! I promise you the girls were not even out of our neighborhood before they asked if we were in Indiana. :) Kaitlyn wanted to know whether it was going to take two or three minutes to get all the way to Indiana. Bless their hearts....I wish I could be that innocent again about time!

Ugh, another part of the road trip that can be both good and bad are the car snacks! I think all our tummies are hurting from the Cheezits, Teddy Grahams, Pringles, Mountain Dew, Apple Juice, Red Bull...okay I had a couple apples and some pears in the mix, so it was not all bad! But still Grandma's cooking is going to be a warm welcome!

Alright we are almost there, just saw the new Colts stadium....GO HORSE! Gotta help with directions....Brent is driving!
