remembering the joy

Today was a hard day - as the girls and I woke up to a phone call from Uncle Bob stating that Marilyn Espenlaub had passed away in the early hours of the morning. Now, let me start by saying that although I have not known Marilyn for an enormous amount of time, I can tell you that she certainly was a neat lady. Always dressed to the nines with numerous activities to conduct before the day was through. I certainly admired that about her and hope to emmulate in my later years of life. There is no question that we should not lose heart. Outwardly Marilyn was wasting away, yet inwardly she was being renewed day by day. For her light and momentary troubles were achieving for her an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Therefore, I reminded the girls today to fix their eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (See 2 Corinthians 4:16-15:8)
